The prime instructional goal of the division
is the education and training of health behavior scientists,
who will apply the knowledge and skills to health promotion.
Life science, information technology, and behavioral sciences
are basic components of the curriculum. Students learn about
health promotion in relation to life-style, aging, and natural
and social environments. Information technology contributes
to understanding social and cultural factors. Behavioral science
programs provide basic and advanced knowledge and effective
skills for life-style modification which contributes to health
promotion.
