Matriculation Fees and Tuition

Matriculation Fees

*Matriculations need to be paid during the matriculation procedure.
*Saitama Prefecture residents are: (1) Persons residing within Saitama Prefecture, and (2) Persons whose spouse or lineal descendants/ancestor with first degree of kinship reside in Saitama Prefecture.

Tuition

\621,000円 (per year) *Tuition is required to be paid in two installments after enrollment; in the first and second half-year semesters.

Important Notes

• The abovementioned fees are the same for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Fee amounts are subject to change.
• In addition to the above, fees such as Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (PAS) and textbooks apply.

Tuition Exemptions

SPU offers a tuition exemption/deferred payment program for students who deemed to have difficulty in paying tuition due to financial reasons or other unavoidable circumstances, and recognized as having outstanding academic capabilities.

Eligibility

• Students with outstanding academic performance to whom any one of the following applies:
• Students whose households are applicable for receiving public assistance under the Public Assistance Act
• Students recognized as facing considerable difficulty in paying tuition due to financial reasons
• Students otherwise deemed by the SPU President as needing reduction or exemption

Types of Exemptions

Students may apply for reduction of half the tuition or complete exemption.
